Using Passkeys

Last updated January 31, 2026

Passkey Authentication

Passkeys let you sign in using your device's biometrics instead of typing a password.

What Are Passkeys?

Passkeys use your device's built-in security: - Face ID on iPhone and Mac - Touch ID on iPhone, iPad, and Mac - Windows Hello on Windows devices - Hardware security keys

Why Use Passkeys?

Passkeys can't be phished because they're tied to your specific device. There's nothing to type, so nothing to steal. And since they combine "something you have" (your device) with "something you are" (your fingerprint or face), you don't need separate 2FA.

Setup

Go to Settings > Security and find the Passkeys section:

Passkeys section showing Set Up Passkeys button

  1. Click Set Up Passkeys
  2. Follow your device's prompts
  3. Name your passkey (e.g., "MacBook Pro")

Signing In

On the login page, you'll see the passkey option:

Passkey and magic link sign in options

  1. Click Sign in with Passkey
  2. Scan your fingerprint or face
  3. Done

Managing Passkeys

You can register one passkey per device. Manage them from Settings > Security.
