AI Collab

Based in Lake Macquarie on the New South Wales coast, AI Collab works with established businesses in Australia and New Zealand. Its work runs on two tracks: lifting staff capability with AI and building systems that do real work. Governance sits at the start of both. Co-founders Kim and Rod Fernandez lead the firm.

The learning track covers keynotes, practical workshops and an AI toolkit for teams, including sessions for staff who use Microsoft Copilot in Microsoft 365. Strategy work includes AI roadmaps, scoping and policies on data handling. Engagements follow five steps: discovery, a roadmap, capability building, the build itself, and embedding the change in daily work. A free AI diagnostic is the usual first step.

On the build side, the team makes internal copilots that draw on company knowledge, document and data automations, and agents that link existing tools. It also offers a voice agent service that answers calls, qualifies leads, books appointments and routes callers, linked to the client's calendar and CRM. Websites designed for answer engine optimisation are delivered through Rod Fernandez Design. Workshops run in person around Newcastle, the Central Coast and Sydney, and online elsewhere.
