In Australia and New Zealand, Cognizant works with large organisations on AI, data, cloud and core platform programs. Its ANZ head office is in Melbourne, with further offices in Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra and Perth, plus Auckland and Wellington. The local data and analytics practice grew through its purchase of Servian, a Sydney data consultancy.

The AI offer is built around the Neuro AI suite, which covers generative AI adoption, IT operations, business processes, cybersecurity, edge AI and AI engineering. Agent Foundry helps clients move AI pilots into production as linked networks of agents. Other assets include the Flowsource engineering platform, an AI Factory for cloud delivery and an AI Lab focused on decision AI research. Cognizant is a Global Premier Partner in Anthropic's Claude Partner Network and runs cloud practices for Microsoft, AWS and Google Cloud, along with a ServiceNow practice.

The firm names banking, insurance, health, the public sector, retail and consumer goods, communications and media, and travel as its main ANZ markets. Published regional work includes a Workday rollout for Federation University and an Amazon Redshift cost and performance overhaul for Suncorp New Zealand.
