About

Ali Kazim works as an independent AI engineer from Melbourne, serving founders in Australia, New Zealand and further afield. He came to AI from full-stack engineering and technical leadership roles at product companies. Clients deal with him directly, with no account managers or sales team between them and the person writing the code. His usual clients are pre-seed to Series A founders who already know the problem they want AI to solve.

Work is offered in three formats. A discovery sprint of two to three weeks audits workflows and data and ends with a written opportunity brief and a ranked build list. A fixed-scope build of four to ten weeks designs and ships one system, such as an agent, a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server or an automation pipeline. A longer build partnership of three to six months runs in set sprint cycles across several systems.

His stack includes the Claude API, MCP, LangChain, CrewAI, n8n, Zapier, Windmill, Next.js and Docker. He also offers Shopify AI work for online stores, AI features inside existing products, and quick MVPs built with no-code tools. Published projects include a Shopify app for store event alerts and an open source MCP server for the Swell commerce platform.
