About
Accenture's Australian data and AI practice works with large companies and government agencies from offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra, Perth and Adelaide. It is part of the global Accenture group and draws on that group's tools, research and partner network.
The practice covers the full path from planning to a running system. Offerings include AI strategy and value assessment, data platform builds to make information ready for AI, generative AI and the tuning of large language models on client data, and industrial AI for operations. It also helps clients apply AI sovereignty across infrastructure, data and models, run responsible AI programmes, and prepare staff for new ways of working. Accenture's own AI Refinery platform supports agent-based systems at scale.
The firm partners with AWS, Microsoft, Google Cloud, Oracle, Databricks, Snowflake, Anthropic, OpenAI, NVIDIA, SAP, Salesforce and ServiceNow, among others. Local sector focus includes banking, telecommunications, energy, manufacturing and the public sector. A published Australian example is ReefCloud, an open-access tool built with the Australian Institute of Marine Science that uses machine learning to read coral reef photos and report on reef health. Engagements are usually large, multi-phase programmes scoped through a formal proposal.
